| hmmm...it's been a while...and there hasn't been much activity in xangaland. do people use/read this anymore? nevertheless, i will push forward. some things of late...
concerts! oh how i love live music. :) saw matt nathanson last friday...whoop!! second time seeing him and he didn't disappoint. seriously, he's a funny man. i was laughing out loud in b/n his songs while he talked. so funny. he played for 2 hrs, which sucked for my feet but awesome for everything else. plus...it was my first time at the warfield....pretty cool venue. and then high five to my bro for hooking me up with tickets to see ray lamontagne last night!! FANTASTIC! man...this guy... his voice is just great. so weathered...whiskeyed out...love it. although he's not much of an entertainer...he's not fussy or sassy (there was basically silence in between his songs while he switched guitars)...the music more than made up for it. it was at the paramount theater and the acoustics in there are nice...it's like you're in a big bathroom. :) if you don't know ray lamontagne...get to know him. soo good.
reading! the book that i'm currently reading is making me laugh out loud. this todd gallagher is such a funny writer! i think it would be even funnier if i knew every athlete that he makes references to in the book...but even without being a sports buff, it is seriously very entertaining reading. i feel like i almost have to ration out the chapters so i can save some funnies for the next day.
ESV study bible! they just released the newest edition this past october and i have to tell you...it's pretty awesome. i didn't need a new study bible, but since more than a couple of pastors that i respect and listen to have been making a big push for it, i got meself one. whoa mama...beyond the fact that it's God's Word, there is a wealth of additional goooooood reading. the commentary and articles in the back...who does that?? just a great resource and so much to chew on. please consider.
happy election day :)

| isn't she lovely.... isn't she wonderful....
ah yes...there she is. i finally committed and bought a bike. i've been wanting one for quite some time now...especially since my knees are all messed up and it hurts to go running. so after many months of asking around and doing the research, i decided on a Jamis Coda hybrid bike. (i know i know...all you road bikers out there who are booing...get in the back of the line. apparently a hybrid bike is like the runt child of mountain bikers and road bikers.) but i'm happy and i'm excited...which is a big thing since i've visited the store every week for a month now and hem and hawed for HOURS in there. the people working were very patient and helpful and didn't make fun of me when i had no idea what an adjustable stem was. they even installed my water cage and bike pump. i'm a fan of Sports Basement. i could do with different colors...but tis ok...it was the last one of this model in all the stores and they weren't going to order anymore.
anyhoo...i'm excited! hopefully i can bike around more from place to place. too bad i live on top of the biggest hill in millbrae.

i can't stop watching the olympics...seriously...CAN'T STOP WATCHING!!
why...why do they run it from 8pm-12am?? i've been going to sleep
super late ever since they started...but it's been soooo worth it. :)
does anybody else get nervous? no joke, my palms were sweating
watching the men's gymnastics (darn you kevin tan!!) and the

especially after all the trash-talking the french team did. they were
so moded. that stuff has got me standing up, clapping, and cheering at
11:15pm at night. sooo good! and just as a sidenote:

yeaaaaah right they're all at least 16 years old. i know asians look younger than their age, but 16? please... did you see the girl on the far right? try 12. | | |
